The packaging is made from compostable recyclable cardboard, soy-based ink, and a clear window that is a 100% biodegradable corn starch-derived polymer, not conventional plastic made from fossil-based petroleum. While they are the only non-biodegradable part, the bristles are made from castor bean oil, which is a plant-based and sustainable resource, unlike normal nylon.
